Lingenfelter 530HP Performance Package
1990 saw the introduction of the ZR1 Special Performance Package for the Corvette Coupe. It listed for $27,016.00 and it completely transformed the Corvette's performance. The heart of the package was the 375hp LT5 engine. All ZR-1s had the third stop light mounted above the rear window. A small ZR-1 emblem was located on the right rear fascia below the taillights. A unique feature of the engine was it's intake system. Each cylinder was fed by two runners-one for each intake valve. During normal driving, each cylinder was fed by one runner. Through the use of a dash controlled key switch, whenever additional power was required, the driver could turn the switch allowing the other runner to come into play. All ZR-1 Corvettes were equipped with the Borg Warner T-6 six-speed manual transmission, the Selective Ride Control system which allowed driver control of the suspension, Bose stereo, air conditioning and basically, every other Corvette option.
There really is not a lot to say about this one! One owner since new (a meticulous adult collector) 11,000 original miles and the awesome Lingenfelter 368 CI, 530 HP performance package. The car looks, rides, feels like new and goes like a bat out of hell! All features are fully operational and we have the original window sticker, owners manual, showroom brochure, ZR-1 packet and the receipts for the Lingenfelter installation.At this point in our description we usually say a car is so many years old and not perfect and describe any know flaws. With this car, we have yet to find any!
